Features:
Photo shows two True Blue 3-Way Manual Ball Valves in CPVC, with an actuated valve behind. Photo also shows external mounting lugs for easy installation and piping support.
Valve Design:
Valve is ordered with either a two-hole or three-hole ball. The two-hole ball switches from one inlet (or outlet) to the other, with a momentary no-flow condition. The three-hole ball ensures that flow is uninterrupted, with a momentary mixing of flow from the two ports. It is suggested that you specify the two-hole ball if you want to prevent the two streams from mixing, and specify the three-hole ball if you are concerned about dead-heading with a momentary no-flow condition. If you are unsure, you are invited to contact our Technical department for assistance at (973) 256-3000.
The bottom trunnion design element is accomplished via a circular thermoplastic sleeve fitted into the bottom hole of the ball. This sleeve locks the ball into the base of the valve, much like the typical trunnion found in the True Blue 2-way valve. After over two decades of proven design superiority, Plast-O-Matic remains the only industrial thermoplastic ball valve manufacturer to employ the trunnion principle. "Blocking" type ball valves, no matter how well designed, will result in uneven strain on the ball and shaft as they are tightened and especially during flow & pressure conditions -- a misaligned ball eventually causes leaks. The trunnion design, on the other hand, assures a perfectly aligned ball.
Materials of Construction:
Valve body and union materials are Geon® PVC or Corzan® CPVC. Valve seats and bearings are PTFE. Wetted seals are Viton® or EPDM. Steel shaft support is not in wetted area of valve. Valve handle is corrosion-resistant thermoplastic.
Temperature and Pressure:
Pressure rating for both PVC and CPVC is 175 PSI at 75 degrees F (24 C). Maximum temperature for PVC is 140 degrees F (60 C); maximum temperature for CPVC is 180 degrees F (82 C).

IMPORTANT MUST READ: A two-hole ball is standard with 180º uni-directional rotation. To specify a three-hole ball, please add -A after the part number, for example, TMBV200EPT-CP-A. Model numbers listed above are for THREADED end connectors...if socket ends are desired, change the T in the part number to S. For example, TMBV200EPS-CP. |

3-Way Solenoid Valves: If you need an actuated valve with instantaneous on/off control, or a much smaller sized valve, or a lower-cost valve... Series THP is a compact 3-way solenoid valve.
Series MBV -- True BlueBall Valves -- Manual version of Plast-O-Matic's popular ball valveline; constructed with integral mounting lugs for easy addition of anactuator when needed. Features also include Trunnion design, reinforced shaft and PTFE thrust washer. 2-way and 3-waydesigns. Socket, threaded, flanged ends, NPT, BSP or Metric; customizingavailable.
Series ABV -- ActuatedBall Valves -- Pneumatically or hydraulically powered actuators for2-way and 3-way ball valves, sizes 1/2", 3/4", and 1". Air x air and "failsafe" air x spring models available; converts easily between types. Manualoverride standard.
Series ABR -- ActuatedBall Valves -- Pneumatically or hydraulically powered actuators for2-way and 3-way ball valves, sizes 1-1/4", 1-1/2", and 2". Air x Air and"fail safe" Air x Spring models available. Manual override standard on airx air, optional on air x spring version. Air x spring converts easilybetween fail safe "open" and fail safe "closed."
