IMPORTANT NOTE: Part number listed is a suffix to be added to full manual or actuated valve model number. Price listed must be added to complete valve assembly for total list price.
Series ZC Characterized Ball Valves
Standard:
- Based on the Plast-O-Matic “Engineered”
True Blue Ball Valve with dual floating seats
and Trunnion design
- Choice of 15º, 30°, 45º, 60°, 90° V-Balls or Linear Flow Balls
- Sizes from 3/8" to 4" in PVC, CPVC,
Natural Polypro and PVDF
- Manual or Actuated
- Electronic flow control via Plast-O-Matic Air or Electric Actuators with optional 4-20mA or 0-10 DC digital positioning
- Manual flow control via Plast-O-Matic Metering Manual Ball Valve
Custom:
- Ball design can be customized to provide
virtually any flow rate
- We use pre-tested combinations of holes and cuts to deliver precisely the type of flow your application requires
- Custom slots or angles for atypical flow rates
- Special valve materials available
Standard Flow Performance Curves with V-Balls
Note: For 3/4" Valves with Mini Sanitary Connections, please refer to 1/2" performance curves above.
To Specify a Standard Characterized Ball:
Begin with the regular EBVA or MBV part number, or Air Actuated Valve with Electro-Pneumatic Positioner, and add the appropriate suffix for the desired characterized cut:
Ball Cut | Suffix |
15º Angle V-Cut | -C1 |
30º Angle V-Cut | -C3 |
45º Angle V-Cut | -C4 |
60º Angle V-Cut | -C6 |
90º Angle V-Cut | -C9 |
Linear Flow Cut | -CLF |
Full Port | No suffix |
For example, a 1" threaded PVC/EPDM ball valve with a 30º characterized angle, including a 4-20mA control electric actuator would be EBVA1-3-100EPT-PV-C3
Standard V-Ball Cuts
Standard V-Ball Cuts are used to provide a pre-determined flow rate based on the angle of opening. Flow rate increases as an increasingly ascending curve as the valve is opened. Below are the V-Cuts offered as standard.
Linear Flow Cut
Standard Linear Flow Cuts are used to provide a pre-determined flow rate based on the angle of opening. Flow rate increases on a linear curve as the valve is opened.
Custom Cuts
Flow rates and actuation can all be customized to provide a unique control valve to meet your needs; below are examples of custom-designed valves for very specific flow requirements:
