NEW Industrial Thermoplastic Differential Pressure Flowmeter

The new differential pressure flow meters feature a spring-loaded diaphragm and magnetic movement to measure the pressure drop across a fixed orifice. Flow rate is derived from the pressure drop, and directly displayed on the dial as gallons per minute.

The magnetic movement is isolated from the liquid, with no linkages or other mechanical parts prone to variations or failure. Overall accuracy is ±2% full scale ascending, with repeatability at ±1%. These gauges feature a 5:1 turndown ratio; dial starting mark is 20% of full scale. Maximum pressure rating is 100 PSI. Connections are FNPT and bodies are constructed of PVC or CPVC.

NEW Industrial Thermoplastic Differential Pressure Gauges and Variable Area Flowmeters

The new differential pressure gauges are constructed of PVC or CPVC and are designed for corrosive or pure liquid applications where instant visual confirmation of pressure differential is required, such as filters or points of use. Series DPG is offered with 0-15 or 0-30 PSID ranges, with optional switches to initiate alarms or controls. The gauge is accurate to within ±2% FS. A compact unit, Series DPI, is designed for OEM applications or applications where indication alone is sufficient.

A complementary line of variable area flow indicators is also offered in PVC or CPVC. Series FIG indicates liquid flow rates from low flows of 0-1 GPM, even when used at high line pressures. Flow gauge sensors can be supplied with switches or relays to initiate alarms, activate other equipment, or shut the system down. When high and low limits are desired, two switches may be used.

Each of the differential instruments are designed with rugged thermoplastic construction and no wetted metal parts. They feature isolated, non-wetted magnetic sensors. The entire differential pressure and variable area flow gauge line is made in the USA and comes with a three year guarantee. For complete details please click here.

It glimmers...it glows...it's our new floor!

Darlene Bevilacqua, lead assembler of our air-actuated valves and switch products, shows off our newly repaired and redone floor.

Plast-O-Matic has just affirmed its 47 year commitment to manufacturing in New Jersey with completely repaired and recoated flooring throughout our factory. According to Director of Manufacturing Glenn LaPerle, the new floor was a four-step process. The first step was a thorough repair of the various seams and cracks that are inherent to any slab floor after years of service. Next was the base grey coat, followed by the epoxy and chip layers. Final step was the impact resistant clear-coat, which gives the floor a sparkling shine. "It not only enhances safety," says Glenn, "it also brightens the environment." And as Darlene demonstrates in the photo above, the new floor is getting rave reviews from our entire manufacturing team!

The new flooring covers all of our manufacturing, warehousing, and production facilities, including the machine shop, assembly, and molding shop.

Seven Employees Honored for a Quarter-Century of Service!

We took time out today for a celebration BBQ to honor seven employees who have dedicated more than 25 years to Plast-O-Matic Valves, and we'd like you to meet them! Joining Dana DeLorenzo, at left, are Greg Wiebe, Freddy Velez, Lucy Davis, Patricia Vanderbrink, Lillian Hernandez, Bob Gonzalez, Yolanda Mateo, and company president Tim DeLorenzo.

Greg Wiebe has 25 years with the company; he's the lead set-up man in the machine shop and is also our go-to guy for any sort of carpentry work. We've yet to come across a mechanical problem that Greg can't figure out.

Freddy Velez is also celebrating 25 years; Freddy is in charge of testing and we don't ship anything until he gives it the green light.

Lucy Davis is in her 26th year, most of those spent on the ball valve bench, where she's the lead assembler. Lucy is one of the key reasons we confidently say that the best ball valves are "True Blue."

Pat Vanderbrink also marks 26 years with the company, she's in charge of the purchasing department and makes sure that our plant has all the materials needed to keep things humming smoothly.

Lillian Hernandez has been with us for 29 years; she's our lead gauge guard assembler and greets everyone with a friendly smile.

Bob Gonzalez is celebrating 34 years here, and as you can imagine he's filled just about every role imaginable in our shop and assembly area during that time. Right now he's in charge of welding, as well as receiving, and ready to lend a hand wherever it's needed.

Yolanda Mateo has 26 years with us, lead assembler on check valves, vacuum breakers, and all of our sight glasses. The fact that we've had zero defects in sight glasses for more than a decade is a testament to Yolanda's dedication.

We take this opportunity to offer a sincere "thank you" to each of these individuals for their many years of excellence and hard work!

Our tribute to Annie...

When Plast-O-Matic launched the True Blue Ball Valve line in 1983, Annie Ferguson joined our team as an assembler. Her dedication to that product was absolute, and she played a key role in making it the highest rated thermoplastic ball valve in the industry. Annie was truly a "superwoman", balancing her career with family and home life; a devoted wife to Jack, loving mother to John and Lenny. In recent years she doted on six grandchildren.

We lost Annie this past month, and our tribute is captured in the photo above. We'll miss her friendship, her can-do attitude, her dedication, and most of all, her spirit and energy.

Thank you Annie, we love you with all our hearts.

California Open House Days!

July is a big month here in New Jersey, as warm weather and sunshine and weekends at "the shore" are a time-honored tradition. Sunshine and warm weather are seldom in short supply at our Riverside CA branch, so we decided a little east coast style BBQ party was the only thing needed to make it just like the Jersey Shore!

With two days of festivities we hosted guests from Harrington Industrial Plastics, Ryan Herco Flow Solutions, and a number of friends and business partners from throughout the Southern California region. With owners Judy and Tim DeLorenzo and president George Drazinakis on hand, Ed Cellucci, Tim Jones and Frantz Clermont rolled out the True Blue carpet for all our guests. Champagne was chilled, grills were fired up, and the bunting and balloons added color.

It was also a great opportunity to present both Ryan Herco Flow Solutions and Harrington Industrial Plastics with our annual "Pinnacle Award," as our top distributors.

As you can see, a good time was had by all!
