PVC

PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride, Ridgid) Type 1, Grade 1, Cell Class 12454 per ASTM D1784

This material has been successfully used for over 50 years in such areas as chemical processing, waste and wastewater treatment, industrial plating and deionized water lines and is the most frequently specified of all thermoplastic materials. PVC provides excellent chemical resistance to a wide variety of acids, alkalies, salt solutions and many other chemicals. It is attacked, however, by some solvents, aromatics and chlorinated organic compounds. The maximum service temperature of PVC is 140°F (60°C). Plast-O-Matic uses NSF Listed PVC in the manufacture of its products.

PVC is joined by solvent cementing, threading or flanging.
