Series EAST
Thermoplastic [PVC, Natural Polypropylene, or Kynar PVDF] solenoid valve, [1/4" or 1/2”] NPT threads, is to be of the direct acting, normally closed, shielded core design. No minimum pressure or pressure differential is required for operation. The solenoid valve is to have two (2) primary liquid sealing components, a PTFE bellows dynamic seal with a [EPDM or Viton] poppet seat and a secondary elastomer diaphragm back-up seal of the same material as the seat. Tested service life is two (2) million cycles. The valve is to have Fail-Dry Safety Design, which incorporates a vented chamber between the PTFE bellows and the secondary elastomer diaphragm backup seal. The vented chamber has a 1/8" NPT port so that thermoplastic tubing, if desired, can be piped to a remote safe location in the event of concern with leakage of dangerous liquids or vapors. Coil to meet NEMA 4X, water and dust tight, and suitable for corrosive atmosphere. All units are to be 100% individually tested at the factory.
