Introducing the New TRVDT 3-port In-Line Relief Valve
What the customer asks for, the customer gets! We have introduced a new addition to our line an extension of our existing RVDT relief valve. Reduce footprint. Eliminate the need for a piping tee. Enter Series TRVDT, our new three-port, in-line relief valve.
Designed for relief/by-pass functions, the Series TRVDT is our first three-port relief valve. This valve protects systems from over-pressure/pressure surges and prevents pumps from dead heading. It features a straight-through pattern when closed, allowing for a high flow of fluids. When the liquid pressure exceeds the set point, the excess liquid is diverted from its normal flow, and out of the third port at the bottom.
The rugged model has the ability to work with highly aggressive liquids due to its featured PTFE diaphragm. The diaphragm area is large, enabling the valve to deliver more sensitivity and less pressure drop under flow conditions. An additional diaphragm made from fluoropolymer makes this model ideal for use with ultra-pure water and concentrated etchants. Series TRVDT features a non-wetted u-cup seal for secondary isolation of the control spring. This design includes our patented Fail-Dry vent.
The body for the TRVDT is available in PVC, Natural Polypropylene (virgin, unpigmented, unfilled PPL), Kynar® PVDF and PTFE. The standard spring housing (completely unwetted) is PVC but can be matched to the wetted body material for a slightly higher cost. Springs are zinc-plated steel and external fasteners are stainless steel. Lock nut and adjusting screw are HDPE. As always, additional options are available upon request if other types of body materials are needed.
Pricing for this model is competitive considering the excellent flow characteristics and performance. As of now it is offered in ½”, ¾” and 1” pipe sizes. We will keep you updated as new options and sizes become available.
