Homes for Heroes
June 12, 2020 — Plast-O-Matic owner and chair Judith DeLorenzo was proud to be part of a team that recently presented one of America’s battle wounded veterans with the keys to a new home in Barnegat, New Jersey.
Judy financially supports and volunteers with Homes for Heroes, a nationwide non-profit that builds and modifies homes and gifts them to veterans and their families. The serviceman honored in Barnegat is Navy Hospital Corpsman First Class Corey Reed, who suffers from a traumatic brain injury, severe PTSD and chronic pain.
The mortgage-free home is well deserved, as Corey is a recipient of the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Navy Good Conduct Medal, and Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. He also earned the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Arctic Service Ribbon, Navy Expert Pistol Medal and Fleet Force Insignia.
Plast-O-Matic is pleased to support this effort, and to Corpsman Corey and Mrs. Jill Reed, we say a sincere “thank you for your service” and “job well done!”
