Seal Kits, Replacement Parts & Replacement Springs

parts for plastic valvesWith proper maintenance, thermoplastic valves can last a lifetime

Under normal conditions, most Plast-O-Matic parts and elastomers last over a million cycles; in some cases many millions of cycles. But all materials will wear out eventually…especially when high purity or corrosive liquids are involved.

From time to time, wear and tear will require that a valve be replaced. But in the majority of applications, parts can be ordered and replaced quickly and easily in the field.

This includes:

  • Seals
  • Hardware
  • Springs
  • Pistons
  • O-Rings
  • Coils
  • Valve Bodies
  • Diaphragms
  • And much more

In some cases, such as PTFE-bellows solenoid valves, precise tolerances won’t permit replacement of individual parts in the field…pre-assembled replacement cartridges are offered instead. And in a few specialty items, designs are not suitable to be serviced, so we require the valve be returned to the factory to be rebuilt. Otherwise, seal kits and parts can be ordered for virtually every True Blue valve.  Even ball valves:  According to Valveman’s Gil Welsford, “ball valves do not typically require a high volume of maintenance interventions. They have simple flow control mechanisms and are less likely to fail. However, that does not preempt the fact that industrial valves, at times, will require maintenance. When selecting valves, establish a plan for inspection and maintenance.”   Great advice!  Remember, have a preventive maintenance schedule in place for every valve on premises…and be sure to order back up seal kits before you need them!
